Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence based model with an
over 70% proven success rate. Over 90% of couples report their
relationship was "significantly improved." EFT has over twenty
five years of research demonstrating proven effectiveness.
I offer psychotherapy, counseling for couples, families, and
individuals. I provide treatment for relationship problems,
trauma, abuse, post-traumatic and other kinds of stress, anxiety,
parenting, children's problematic behaviors, and low self-esteem.
For couples who are on the brink of divorce, I offer Discernment
Counseling to help you develop clarity and confidence in making the
decision that is right for you and your family.
Working collaboratively with an emphasis on your
strengths, you'll find me supportive of the areas you want to work on
and the changes you or your family members may want to make.
To become a Certified EFT Therapist, candidates must meet
various pre-requisites and complete several EFT training and
supervision requirements including an intensive EFT
Externship, advanced training courses, consultation / supervision by
a Certified EFT Supervisor. Two video taped clinical sessions
demonstrating the therapist’s
thorough grasp of the EFT model are reviewed by a Certified EFT Trainer
at the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy
(ICEEFT).
